Please join us for a delicious breakfast of pancakes, french toast, eggs, bacon and sausage all prepared by your local firefighters. All proceeds directly support Nevada City firefighters. Price for Adults is $8, children under 12 are $5.

Fundraising
The Firefighters Association of Nevada City has several events planned throughout the summer of 2008. Firefighters will be present at the Nevada City Farmer's Market to help raise awareness about fire safety and answer any questions the public may have. They will also be accepting donations, and will have Water Bottles, T-Shirts and Tote Bags as thank-you gifts for donations.

Look for the Association at the Hot Summer Nights events in Nevada City, the Draft Horse Classic at the Nevada County Fairgrounds (in the Watt Park Ice Cream Booth), and the November Pancake Breakfast at Station 54 as they continue to raise money to purchase a new Wildland/Urban Interface engine.

Spaghetti Feed
The Firefighters Association of Nevada City held our second annual Spaghetti Feed on Sunday, April 27 2008. We would like to thank everyone who showed up to support the Nevada City firefighters with their meal purchase and donations.

Proceeds will help purchase and equip a new Wildland-Urban Interface Engine that the department hopes to aquire within the next year. Click here to read more information on the Wildland/Urban Interface engine.

FEMA Grant Received
December, 2006 - The department received a $94,000 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to purchase 20 new Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBAs). The previous SCBAs were up 15 years old. The new SCBAs have additional safety features built in, as well as allowing for more air capacity and longer use time.
